Rethink Events and WaterTAP to Host World Water-Tech North America During Ontario Water Innovation Week

The Water Technology Acceleration Project (WaterTAP) and Rethink Events are pleased to announce the second annual Ontario Water Innovation Week (OnWIN) in Toronto from October 30 to November 3, 2017.

The week includes three main events. Hosted by Rethink Events and WaterTAP, the fifth annual World Water-Tech North America Summit (November 2-3) will bring international utilities, technology leaders, entrepreneurs and investors to Toronto to brainstorm new approaches to the most significant challenges facing the global water and wastewater sectors.

Water Innovation in Action (November 1) is a one-day event hosted by WaterTAP that brings together Ontario’s water sector stakeholders to share success stories, measure progress, and plan for the future.

This year, WaterTAP also welcomes the Ontario Municipal Water Symposium (October 31) to OnWIN. Organized by the Ontario Municipal Water Association, this event is focused on municipal utility challenges and designed to complement Water Innovation in Action and World Water-Tech North America.

The week will also include workshops, tours, and networking events.

“In 2017, Ontario Water Innovation Week will build upon the success of our first year, offering even more opportunities to strengthen global networks, share best practices, and explore innovative solutions for the world’s water challenges,” said WaterTAP’s President and CEO, Dr. Peter Gallant.

“OnWIN is designed in the spirit of WaterTAP’s mandate to connect, accelerate, and celebrate Ontario’s water sector. Together with our partners, we are looking forward to welcoming the world to Ontario and showcasing the fantastic work that happens here.”

“OMWA is thrilled to be hosting our premiere Municipal Water Symposium during OnWIN,” said Ed Houghton, OMWA’s Executive Director. “It will be a great opportunity for our members.”

“It’s fantastic to see OnWIN growing into a must-attend event in the water industry calendar,” says Jennie Moss, Managing Director of Rethink Events. “For entrepreneurs with solutions in water and wastewater management, this is an unrivalled opportunity to network with water utilities and industrial water leaders from North America and around the globe.”

Early supporters of the week’s events include smart grid leader FATHOM, the Ontario Ministry of International Trade, the Ontario Clean Water Agency, and the Southern Ontario Water Consortium.
